For food trucks on Square
Tell customers the wait. Tell regulars where you'll be.
ROAM puts a live wait time on the menu your QR code already opens, and with Reach, customers can opt in to hear when your truck is headed their way.
No app to install. No extra hardware. No typing in wait times.
Two problems every truck has
Customers can't see the line. You can't reach them after they leave.
"Is it a 3-minute wait or 30?"
People walk up, see a crowd, and guess. Some stay and get frustrated. Some leave and never come back. You lose either way, and you can't stop to explain the line while you're cooking.
Once they walk away, they're gone.
No email list. No way to say "we're back near you Thursday." Social posts only reach people who already follow you and happen to be scrolling at the right moment.
ROAM: Waitline
A live wait time that updates itself.
No spreadsheets, no manual updates, no new equipment. Here's what it looks like for you.
We set it up
We build your live menu, connect it to your Square account, and hand you a QR code ready to print.
Put the QR on your truck
Customers scan it and see your menu with the current wait. That's all they have to do.
Keep cooking
The wait time keeps itself up to date on the menu and on a kiosk screen at the truck. You never type a number.
ROAM: Reach
Turn a one-time customer into a regular.
From the menu they're already looking at, a customer can tap once to say "tell me when you're near me."
- You enter your upcoming stops and times
- ROAM notifies subscribers within range, ahead of each stop
- Push notifications through the browser, plus text messages on Reach Pro
- Customers choose to opt in. Nothing is sent without it.
About a mile from you.
Built to stay out of your way.
Works with the QR you already print
Same code, same spot. ROAM sits behind it.
A menu you control
Change items, hours and events from an admin panel. Updates show up right away.
Fast, simple, hosted for you
We handle hosting, image storage, uptime monitoring and fixes, so there's nothing to maintain.
Pricing
Pick a plan. Add a website only if you need one.
Every plan includes your live menu at its own address, the QR code, the admin panel, the kiosk display, hosting, small content updates and bug fixes. Requires a Square account (free).

Need a website too?
Optional, and separate from your plan. Your live menu has its own address and works without a website. A site is for everything else: your story, your catering inquiries, and showing up in search.
Template site
- 2–3 page mobile-friendly site (home and menu, events, contact)
- Search and AI-search basics
- Domain and hosting setup
- Live in 1–2 weeks
Custom site
- Custom design: colors, fonts, photo layout
- Catering inquiry form with email notifications
- Extended local search and AI-search work
- 3–4 weeks, scoped to your needs
If we build your site, hosting and small edits are $20 a month. Plans are month to month with 30 days' notice to cancel.
Questions trucks ask
Do my customers need to install an app?
No. They scan your QR and the menu opens in their browser. Notifications use the browser too. Some iPhones may ask customers to add the menu to their home screen first, which takes a few taps and isn't an app store install. On Reach Pro, customers can choose text messages instead.
Do I need new hardware?
No. You need a Square account and the QR code you'd already display. A kiosk screen at the truck is optional and runs on a tablet.
Do I have to enter the wait time myself?
No. It keeps itself up to date, and there's nothing for you to enter.
What if I don't use Square?
Right now ROAM works with Square. If you use something else, tell us what. It helps us decide what to support next.
Can I keep my existing website?
Yes. Your website stays as it is. Put your ROAM QR code on the truck, and link to your ROAM menu from your site and social pages so people can check the menu and wait before they come.
Who builds and runs this?
ROAM is made by Birds of a Feather Developers in West Michigan. You'll work directly with the person who built it.
Want to see it on your menu?
Tell us about your truck. We'll show you what ROAM would look like with your menu and your Square account.
